লজ্জাবতী - Sensitive plant
Scientifically known as Mimosa pudica is a creeping annual or perennial herb which is also known as Touch-me-not, Sensitive Grass, Shame Bush, Shame Face, Shame Lady, Shame Weed, common sensitive-plant, shameplant, TickleMe Plant, Shy plant, Sleeping grass and Prayer Plant.
Touch-me-not is of tropical American origin, native from southern Mexico to mid-South America and the Caribbean. It is likely that the species has been introduced to some of the extreme parts of the New World range. It has been widely introduced and has become a serious weed throughout the world’s tropical regions.
